Course Description
Students will examine how criminal behavior, legal processes, and justice-related outcomes are interpreted and understood within the field of forensic psychology while also exploring how these issues are communicated to the public. Through the analysis of high-profile and culturally relevant cases, students will critically assess how digital platforms shape public perception, influence narratives, and contribute to broader social justice conversations. The course emphasizes the intersection of psychology, justice, and digital culture, encouraging students to evaluate both the benefits and limitations of consuming and producing forensic-related content in the digital age. This course offers an introduction to concepts, applications, and case studies in forensic psychology through a contemporary, media-centered lens.
